Caron One Pound, Category 4 Medium (worsted weight), 100% acrylic, 812yd/454g, "Royalty" (Main Color) & "Sunflower" (Contrasting Color)

1 skein each of MC and CC

tapestry needle, scissors, stitch marker (optional for marking corner stitch for increases)

Intermediate: Comfortable with crochet basics and post stitches. Techniques include cables, shaping, and colorwork

12 x 12" (30 x 30 cm) after blocking

Worked diagonally, you only increase in one corner, which will create the striped square pattern. Each pair of rows will be worked in one color.
