Inspired by my mixed Norse and Gaelic heritage, I incorporate a lot of cable work to represent Nordic and Celtic symbols.
The Celtic-style braided cables run parallel in three columns (a 2-, 3-, and 4-strand), forming the three “roots” of a tree. The total number of cable strands (2+3+4) equals 9, which represents the 9 “worlds” of Norse mythology.
